What if I've never done Pilates?

5

Perfect. No prior experience needed. Show up to class and I’ve got you!

I’m not very coordinated. Is this still for me?

6

Yes! You don’t need to be coordinated to follow the class. I talk you through each step and I demo them too. Plus, I offer modifications so it can be as simple as you need as you build up familiarity with the movements.

Are your classes for women only?

7

Nope! All people welcome.

Can I join if I’m pregnant?

You’ll get a ton of benefit from these classes. I teach through pregnancy and know how to modify exercises to make them appropriate for wherever you’re at (including any pregnancy-related issues like pelvic girdle pain, prolapse, etc.) FWIW, I was attending pilates class up until my 41st week of pregnancy with baby #2 😂. It kept me sane.

What if I have prolapse/pelvic floor issues?

That's why I started pilates in the first place. You’ll have the option to share what's going on in your intake form when you book and I'll help you move safely.

What if I have other injuries?

10

Share them in your intake form and I’ll be sure to offer relevant modifications. Or if you’d prefer to talk them through with me first, you’re welcome to DM me on IG or email me at hello@mmwithmikala.com

I want to build meaningful strength and get a solid workout in. Is this for me?

11

It sure is! I always offer options to help you get what you want from your class. If that means feeling the burn, getting your heart rate up and walking around the next day like you’ve been riding a horse… that’s what you’ll get.
